Duration: Two Years
Overview:
The “Electronics Mechanic” trade trains candidates over two years in professional skills, knowledge, and employability skills, with project work and extracurricular activities.
Professional Skills:
First Year:
- Follow safety protocols and use trade tools.
- Measure electrical parameters using DSO and maintain batteries.
- Test passive/active electronic components and construct power supplies.
- Practice soldering/de-soldering on through-hole PCBs.
- Construct and test amplifiers, oscillators, and power control circuits.
- Verify digital IC truth tables and use circuit simulation software.
Second Year:
- Prepare and test electronic cables and assemble computers.
- Perform SMD soldering/de-soldering and PCB rework.
- Assemble AM/FM receivers and test microcontroller systems (8051).
- Work with sensors, DPM modules, and fiber optic communication.
- Troubleshoot SMPS, UPS, solar panels, and LED/LCD TVs.
