Duration: Two Years

Overview:

The “Wireman” trade trains candidates over two years in professional skills, knowledge, and employability skills, with project work and extracurricular activities.

Professional Skills:
First Year:

  • Follow safety protocols and perform basic fitting and joining.
  • Identify conductors, cables, and perform crimping, soldering, and brazing.
  • Apply electrical laws and measure parameters.
  • Install plate/pipe earthing and maintain AC/DC machines.
  • Draw electrical schematics and perform domestic/control panel wiring.

Second Year:

  • Perform commercial and industrial wiring (inverter, CCTV, construction sites).
  • Install and maintain illumination systems and sensors.
  • Assemble solar components (charge controllers, PV panels).
  • Repair domestic appliances (fans, washing machines, ACs).
  • Understand smart wiring for automation and IoT.
